"MARGARET BEAN TO BE BRIDE"
Cards have been received announcing the engagement of Miss Margaret Ellen Bean and Mr. Willard Kenneth Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert W. Davis of Russell Street, Berkeley.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo W. Bean of Presley Way. Mr. Davis, who is here for the holidays, is taking graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Chi Phi Fraternity man. He will receive his Masters degree in June. For two years he was a student at the University of California before going East to continue his studies.
His bride-elect is a sister of Mrs. Leland Gale of Winters, Calif., and of Alfred Bean and Miss Dorothy Bean.
Mr. Davis is a brother to Keith Davis, student at the University of California, and Mrs. William Nelson of Redding, Calif.
"DAVISES PLAN HOME IN EAST"
After a brief honeymoon trip in the Sierra, Willard Kenneth Davis and his bride left Thursday evening for the East to establish their home in Buffalo, N.Y. Mrs. Davis is the former Miss Margaret Ellen Bean and majored in music at the University of California, where she was a member of Alpha Mu, music honor society. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo W. Bean of Oakland.
Davis graduated last year from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a member of Chi Phi Fraternity. This year he was appointed assistant director of the institute practice school at Buffalo. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Davis of Berkeley.
The wedding of the couple took place early this month at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Berkeley in the presence of relatives and close friends.
