     John T. S. Brown Jr. was born in 1829 in Munfordville, Hart County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of John T. S. Brown Sr. and Elizabeth Creel. John T. S. Brown Jr. married Mary Jane Garvin, daughter of Hugh Garvin and Jane (Jean) Orr, on 23 February 1841.¹ John T. S. Brown Jr. died in 1905 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, at age 76 years. He was buried in Cave Hill Cemetery.^1,2
     
John's full name was John Thompson Street Brown, Jr. Records show that John "followed the long-standing family tradition and became a merchant and businessman."¹

     James Garvin was born on 11 May 1817 in Evish, Londonderry, Ireland.^1,2 He was the son of Hugh Garvin and Jane (Jean) Orr.¹ James Garvin died in 1859 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at age 41 years.²
     
James emigrated to America from Ireland in 1825/6 along with his siblings Samuel, Matilda, Catherine, Rachel, Mary Jane and Janet, taking up residence in the Munfordville, Kentucky area. His brother William had come earlier, in 1816, and moved to Kentucky in 1827 and began a wholesale drygoods business. James was a partner for awhile in this business and then he moved to Philadelphia where it is presumed he followed the mercantile trade. Sources say he had "no issue," don't know if he married or not.²

In the winter of 1860, the Garvin family, with William as the head, had the remains of James shipped from Philadelphia and he was reinterred in the William Garvin lot in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky on February 2, 1860. The remains of his parents were also shipped at this time from Ireland to Kentucky and interred along with those of James.^2,3

     Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. was born on 21 December 1921 in Fabiola Hospital, Oakland, Alameda County, California.¹ He was the son of Charles Bradfield and Gretchen Walther. Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. married Helen Mildred Lowery, daughter of James Sheldon Lowery and Helen Margaret Davis, on 7 February 1943 in Berkeley, Alameda County, California.¹ Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. died in November 1983 in Pinole, Contra Costa County, California, at age 61 years and 10 months.¹

     James Theodore Bradfield was born on 28 October 1944 in Alta Bates Hospital, Berkeley, Alameda County, California. He was the son of Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. and Helen Mildred Lowery. James Theodore Bradfield married Linda Gregory on 14 August 1976. James Theodore Bradfield died on 7 October 2001 at age 56 years, 11 months and 9 days.      Gretchen Louise Bradfield was born on 26 March 1947 in Alta Bates Hospital, Berkeley, Alameda County, California. She is the daughter of Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. and Helen Mildred Lowery.

     Elizabeth Anne Bradfield married Verle Craven. Elizabeth Anne Bradfield was born on 2 November 1956 in Alta Bates Hospital, Berkeley, Alameda County, California. She is the daughter of Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. and Helen Mildred Lowery.

     Verle Craven married Elizabeth Anne Bradfield, daughter of Charles Clifford Bradfield Jr. and Helen Mildred Lowery.

     Paul Elias Caplan was born on 29 February 1924 in Far Rockaway, Queens County, New York. He married Mary Margaret Lowry, daughter of James Sheldon Lowery and Helen Margaret Davis, on 2 October 1949 in Berkeley, Alameda County, California. Paul Elias Caplan died in April 1997 in Florida at age 73 years and 1 month.
