In 1910, Mary Black appears on the census living in Santa Clara, a widow with children, a niece and nephew named Rankin, possibly Bertha's children (?), as well as her mother Margaret Ballard O'Bryan.1

Mary married a Mr. McDonald and a Mr. Black. It is unknown which she married first although she is shown on the 1910 census as Mary Black. She had a son Glenn who died in Fresno in 1961 and a son Aubrey who died in Santa Cruz in 1974. I do not know which husband fathered which of them or if there were other children.1
