John Gregg was born circa 1576 in Scotland.1,2,3 He was the son of John Dubh (Black) MacGregor (Gregg) and Mary Hutcheson.1 John Gregg married Ann Palmer in 1596 in Scotland.1 John Gregg died circa 1644 in Glenarm Barony, County Antrim, Ireland.1

Black John MacGregor (Gregg) was probably the grandson of Black John of the Coat-of-Mail (died 1519), and may or may not have been the father of John Gregg (born 1576), perhaps a grandfather. His birthdate is cited as both 1534 and 1546, he would have been an older father at 30 to 42, but certainly not impossible.

According to Kendall's Quaker Greggs, when King James visited Scotland the second time in 1617, whole communities of Scottish clans were transplated to Ulster (Rogers "Traits and Stories of the Scottish People"). Members of clan Gregor were amongst these transplants. Their leader, a John Gregg, evidently descended from next to the oldest son of Black John of the Coat-of-Mail, and he received from King James I a silver-studded ivory-headed cane in esteem and appreciation of his influence and responsibility in the removal of the Greggs from Scotland to County Antrim, Ulster about 1618. If this is indeed correct, and the story is certainly not believed to be true by everyone researching the Greggs, then the John referred to would have been John Gregg (born 1576) who would have been about 46 at the time, son of Black John MacGregor/Gregg (born 1534-46).4,5

Kenneth Allan Sakie

Kenneth Allan Sakie married Robyn Eliza Greene, daughter of Charles Freeman Greene and Gail Marie Davis, on 18 August 2007 at The Fairwinds Estate, Brockway, North Lake Tahoe, Placer County, California.1 Kenneth and Robyn Eliza Greene were divorced in August 2010 at California.2

Mid-August 2007, a wonderful wedding week of activities at Lake Tahoe preceded Robyn & Kenny's wedding on August 18th. Friends and relatives from across the United States came to share the festivities. The dinner the night before, the wedding and reception were held at the gorgeous old Fairwinds Estate located near King's Beach and in the old Brockway area -- of course the house was right on the lake with a private beach. Some of the wedding party had the lovely experience of staying in the house for a few nights. Robyn's Uncle Dougie Greene performed the marriage ceremony out on a bluff overlooking the lake. Robyn looked beautiful and Kenny handsome as ever -- actually everyone including wedding party and guests was looking just marvelous! It was a wonderful and happy event which even the local bears seemed to be enjoying when seen out by the garbage cans. A few pictures can be seen here.1

After their marriage and towards the end of 2007, Robyn and Kenny (with Koty of course) moved up to Marin County from LA, buying a darling 1930s house in the quaint town of Petaluma. At that time they also purchased a franchise for Fetch, a professional dog walking/sitting service covering the areas of Petaluma and Marin County. The business has done real well, and since their separation and ultimate divorce, Robyn has run the business quite successfully on her own.
