     Ruth Lucille Armour was born on 1 September 1900 in Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Harry Ellington Armour and Gabriella Clark.¹ Ruth Lucille Armour married Ralph Emerson Dunham on 3 October 1915 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.² Ruth Lucille Armour died on 25 November 1926 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, at age 26 years, 2 months and 24 days.¹

     Ralph Emerson Dunham was born on 24 December 1894 in Kansas.¹ He married Ruth Lucille Armour, daughter of Harry Ellington Armour and Gabriella Clark, on 3 October 1915 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.¹ Ralph Emerson Dunham died on 4 October 1970 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, at age 75 years, 9 months and 10 days.¹

     Stanley Armour Dunham was born on 23 March 1918 in Kansas.¹ He was the son of Ralph Emerson Dunham and Ruth Lucille Armour.¹ Stanley Armour Dunham married Madelyn Lee Payne on 5 May 1940.² Stanley Armour Dunham died on 8 February 1992 in Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, at age 73 years, 10 months and 16 days.¹

     Madelyn Lee Payne was born on 26 October 1922 in Peru County, Kansas.¹ She married Stanley Armour Dunham, son of Ralph Emerson Dunham and Ruth Lucille Armour, on 5 May 1940.¹ Madelyn Lee Payne died on 2 November 2008 in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, at age 86 years and 7 days.¹

     Stanley Ann Dunham was born on 29 November 1942 in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of Stanley Armour Dunham and Madelyn Lee Payne.¹ Stanley Ann Dunham married Barack Hussein Obama on 2 February 1961 in Maui County, Hawaii.² Stanley Ann Dunham died on 7 November 1995 in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, at age 52 years, 11 months and 9 days.¹

     Barack Hussein Obama was born in 1936 in Alego, Kenya.¹ He married Stanley Ann Dunham, daughter of Stanley Armour Dunham and Madelyn Lee Payne, on 2 February 1961 in Maui County, Hawaii.¹ Barack Hussein Obama died in 1982 in Alego, Kenya, at age 46 years.¹

     Barack Hussein Obama married Michelle Lavaughn Robinson.¹ Barack Hussein Obama was born on 4 August 1961 in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.¹ He is the son of Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Dunham.¹

     Michelle Lavaughn Robinson married Barack Hussein Obama, son of Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Dunham.¹ Michelle Lavaughn Robinson was born on 17 January 1964 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.¹

     Richard married Sarah Woodbridge or Byrd between 2 May 1705 and 20 November 1705.¹
     
An interesting family note: Richard White, Hester White's father, was the second husband of Sarah Hanks who was the mother of Hester's son-in-law William Hanks II, husband of Hester C. Mills.²

     William Hanks II was born on 14 February 1679 in Richmond County, Virginia.¹ He was the son of William Hanks I and Sarah Woodbridge or Byrd.¹ William married Hester C. Mills, daughter of John Mills and Hester White, before 1712.² William Hanks II died on 1 May 1733 in Richmond County, Virginia, at age 54 years, 2 months and 17 days.³
     
William Hanks II was a beneficiary of the estate of William Hanks I on 2 May 1705 in Virginia. The estate was divided into four equal parts going to Sarah and the three sons, William, Luke and John. Among other things, "William received the carpenter and cooper tools; Luke received two looking glasses and a case of pistols; and John received much cloth, including 'penniston,' a coarse suiting used by foresters, as well as a set of wedges." Baber wrote that this obviously showed "Luke and John were woodsmen and felled the trees and their elder brother William worked them up into lumber and houses."⁴

An interesting family note: Richard White, Hester White's father, was the second husband of Sarah Hanks who was the mother of Hester's son-in-law William Hanks II, husband of Hester C. Mills.²

William and Hester had eight children: William III, John, Hannah, Sarah, Richard, Susannah, Thomas and James born between May 1712 and February 1732. More about them and this family line can be found in the Baber book cited below.⁵

William was a farmer and perhaps most important to him, a carpenter. He left instructions in his Will that his oldest son William not only receive all his "working tools," but that he teach any brothers that showed an interest the trade of carpenter or wheelright. He also requested in that Will that William "stay with his mother...and work to help pay my debts."⁶
