     Allen Bowie Davis was born in 1809. He was the son of Thomas Davis and Elizabeth Bowie. Allen Bowie Davis married Rebecca Comfort Dorsey, daughter of Chief Justice Thomas Beal Dorsey and Milcah Goodwin, on 5 October 1830.1 Allen Bowie Davis married Hester Ann Wilkins on 8 October 1839. Hester was a cousin of Allen's first wife Rebecca Comfort Dorsey.1
     Delegate to the convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church, President Brookeville Academy, President Board of Agricultural College, and was elected to the Legislature.

     Rebecca Comfort Dorsey was born on 16 February 1809.1 She was the daughter of Chief Justice Thomas Beal Dorsey and Milcah Goodwin. Rebecca Comfort Dorsey married Allen Bowie Davis, son of Thomas Davis and Elizabeth Bowie, on 5 October 1830.1 Rebecca Comfort Dorsey died on 18 July 1836 at age 27 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was buried at the Davis estate of Greenwood near Brookeville.1
     Daughter of Chief Justice Thomas Dorsey.
